Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tractor Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating tractors and associated machinery to support various agricultural and construction projects. Responsibilities
- Operate tractors in accordance with safety protocols and project requirements
- Use specialised attachments such as excavators when necessary for excavation or material handling tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure proper functioning and identify any maintenance needs
- Perform basic mechanical tasks and troubleshooting to minimise downtime
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials across sites
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment usage
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly operating tractors and heavy machinery
- Mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues effectively
- Familiarity with excavators and their operation is highly desirable
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions precisely
- Strong attention to safety procedures and risk management practices
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and handle physically demanding tasks
