About this opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and organised Business Support Officer to join the Cumbria Adult Learning Service, supporting the delivery of high-quality adult learning provision across the county. The service delivers Adult Skills Fund provision to around 6,000 adults each year across venues throughout the county.
This role will provide essential administrative and business support primarily to the Management Information System (MIS) function. This will include contributing to the effective administration of adult education provision by supporting processes related to enrolment, attendance monitoring, achievement recording and data input, ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
A key aspect of the role includes maintaining accurate systems and monitoring learner data to ensure compliance with funding rules and eligibility criteria, supporting the service to be audit compliant.
Who we are looking for…
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised individual with strong administrative skills and a keen eye for detail. Previous experience working in a business support or an administrative role, ideally within the Further Education sector, is preferable.
The successful candidate will have strong digital skills and be confident using systems and software to input and manage data, including relating to learner records.
The successful candidate will be a good communicator with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and support a range of functions. An understanding of the Adult Skills Fund and a willingness to contribute to continuous knowledge development will be key.
