Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive In-house Lawyer to join our organisation. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal advice across various departments, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Duties
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, service agreements, and licensing arrangements.
- Provide legal guidance on corporate governance, compliance issues, and risk management strategies.
- Advise management on legal implications of business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor changes in legislation relevant to the organisation’s operations and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate with external legal advisors when specialised expertise is required.
- Maintain organised records of legal documents and correspondence using IT systems.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on legal matters such as data protection, intellectual property, and contractual obligations.
Experience
- Proven experience as an in-house legal counsel or in a similar corporate legal role or paralegal level.
- Strong understanding of commercial law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance within the UK context.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex legal concepts to non-specialists.
- Proficiency in using IT tools for document management, research, and communication purposes.
- Prior experience working collaboratively across departments to deliver practical legal solutions.
- A recognised law degree (LLB or equivalent) and professional qualification as a solicitor or barrister are essential. Pay: £22,000.00 per year
