Summer Temp Front of House & Event Staff – Join Our Friendly Team

Location: Hidden River Cabins & Hidden River Barn (Rural Location – Own Transport Required)
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Hours: Flexible – Weekday & Weekend Shifts Available

Are you looking for an exciting role in a fast-paced, friendly, and inspiring environment? Join our team at Hidden River Barn, one of the top wedding venues in the UK, and our busy restaurant, where we host unforgettable events and serve exceptional food.

What We’re Looking For:

Passionate and enthusiastic team players
Experience in hospitality is a bonus, but a great attitude is key
Ability to think outside the box and make a difference
Willingness to work hard and deliver excellent service
Own transport due to rural location

General Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional attitude
Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
Serve meals and beverages in a timely manner
Ensure tables are set up and cleared promptly between guests
Process payments and handle cash/card transactions
Assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment
Communicate effectively with team members and kitchen staff

Event & Wedding Responsibilities:

Set up event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and décor as per event requirements
Welcome and direct guests, ensuring they have a positive experience
Serve food and drinks during wedding receptions
Assist with bar service
Work alongside event coordinators to ensure smooth execution of the event
Proactively anticipate guests’ needs and provide assistance where necessary
Clear tables and maintain cleanliness throughout the event

Teamwork & Efficiency:

Work as part of a fast-paced, close-knit team to deliver seamless service
Follow instructions from supervisors and event managers to meet high service standards
Adapt to different roles within the restaurant and events as needed including housekeeping
Think on your feet and troubleshoot any guest requests or challenges efficiently

Health & Safety:

Follow all food hygiene and health & safety regulations
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including dining spaces and event areas
Adhere to company policies regarding safe service of alcohol and guest well-being
