Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper join our Digital Bookkeeping team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and experience with various accounting software.

Responsibilities

Maintain a portfolio of clients.
Update and maintain client bookkeeping through the processing of information into the relevant software systems.
Undertake the preparation of VAT returns, actively monitoring deadlines and client queries.
Undertake the completion of HMRC enquiries.
Carry out the bookkeeping preparation for a wide range of business entities using both computerised and manual records.
Assist in the transition of making tax digital.
Undertake training of new clients in the use of accounting software systems.
Assist with the ad hoc completion of project work for clients.
Liaising with clients on their bookkeeping and handling day to day queries.
Enrol clients on new software systems.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an accounting environment.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, or Xero.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders within the organisation.
A relevant qualification in finance or accounting is desirable but not essential.
