Salary: £30,000 per annum

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am -4pm

The role:
As our international business continues to expand across North America and beyond, we are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team at our Kendal Head Office.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within a fast-paced, international manufacturing business, supporting our growing operations in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
Reporting to the Finance team, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our North American businesses. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust controls, and supporting finance projects as the business continues to grow.
What you’ll be doing:
- Perform key balance sheet reconciliations, including stock, duties, purchase ledger and sales invoice accounts for Kendal Nutricare USA.
- Prepare and maintain accurate stock reconciliations and related accounting records.
- Provide holiday cover for the Kendal Nutricare Canada Accountant.
- Support the implementation of financial controls and accounting processes for the growing Kendal Nutricare Mexico business.
- Assist with the migration from QuickBooks Online to SAGE Intacct.
- Help ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance across international entities.
- Support month-end activities and other finance projects as required.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to improve financial processes and controls.
What you’ll need:
We're looking for someone who is organised, analytical and enjoys working with financial data. You'll have excellent attention to detail and be confident working in a collaborative finance environment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience performing account reconciliations.
- Experience accounting for stock and inventory.
- Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- AAT part-qualified, fully qualified, or currently studying towards CIMA or ACA.
Desirable
- Experience using SAGE Intacct.
- Knowledge of customs duties and import accounting.
- Experience working with US-based companies or international entities.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment would be advantageous.
