Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 tonne multi-drop driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across various locations, ensuring timely and professional service. This role requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent driving skills.

Duties

Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with legal standards
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedule requirements
Safely operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for multiple deliveries across designated areas
Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
Collect signatures or proof of delivery from customers and complete relevant documentation accurately
Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle throughout the shift
Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery updates or issues encountered during routes

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with 7.5 tonne vehicles or similar flatbed lorries
Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and valid UK driving licence suitable for 7.5 tonne vehicles
Experience in multi-drop deliveries, demonstrating organisational ability to manage multiple stops efficiently
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and delivery procedures
Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading and unloading goods safely
