Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Counter Staff member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling food orders, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic food service setting, contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Take customer orders accurately and efficiently at the counter, phone or via electronic systems
Prepare and serve food items in accordance with health and safety standards
Assist with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities and enhance customer satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, including sanitising surfaces and equipment
Handle cash transactions accurately and provide correct change
Provide friendly and professional service, addressing customer queries and resolving any issues promptly
End-of-night cleaning and dishes are also required.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, serving, or takeaway environments is advantageous but not mandatory
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends
Must be able to travel to Forth
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Good time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanour
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: From £8.00 per hour
