Senior Vet- City Vets Belfast

This is a senior role with real purpose. You’ll still do the clinical work you enjoy, but you’ll also be the steady hand for new graduates finding their feet.

This role is for the vet who loves the clinical side and the people side. The one who remembers what it felt like to be a new grad and wants to make that journey easier for someone else.

What you’ll be doing

Supporting and mentoring new grads
Leading clinical standards
Handling a varied caseload
Helping develop the wider team

Criteria

Essential Criteria:

Degree in Veterinary Medicine from an accredited institution and be RCVS registered.
Minimum of 6 years of clinical experience working as a veterinarian.
Proficient in diagnosing and treating common medical and surgical conditions in companion animals.
Strong surgical skills including routine procedures such as spays, neuters, and soft tissue surgeries.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate and engage clients effectively.
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and collaborate with veterinary staff.

Desirable Criteria:

Certificates in specialised areas of veterinary medicine (e.g. medicine, orthopaedics).
Knowledge of and interest in preventive care and wellness programs.
Participation in continuing education programs to stay updated with advancements in veterinary medicine.
