Full job description

Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and highly organised Conveyancing Assistant to join our legal team at our Ashby-de-la-Zouch office. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either a full-time or part-time position.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting property transactions, helping to ensure that conveyancing matters are handled efficiently and progressed smoothly from instruction through to completion. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or further their career in the legal sector, with a particular interest in residential property law.

The ideal applicant will have excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment while providing outstanding support to colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

Deal with incoming post, phone calls, scanning and general office admin.
Assist with preparing legal documents related to property transactions.
Liaise with clients, estate agents and mortgage brokers to facilitate communication and information exchange.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently and manage time effectively.
Knowledge of IT systems relevant to legal practice is desirable but not essential; training will be provided if necessary.
Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
Previous experience in a legal environment or conveyancing is advantageous but not mandatory.
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work are essential qualities for success in this role. This position provides valuable experience within a professional legal setting and offers opportunities for career development within property law. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, supporting smooth property transactions through organisation, communication, and technical proficiency.

Pay: From £24,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Ashby-De-La-Zouch, Leicestershire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
