Due to continued growth, we are recruiting multiple Dairy Service Technicians in Scotland, Castle Douglas who will be responsible for installation, service and maintenance of Dairy Equipment.
Electromech Agri Ltd is a well-established agricultural engineering company specialising in dairy parlour equipment, bespoke installations, and 24/7 service support. With over 30 years’ experience, we supply, install, and maintain milking systems and related equipment across Ireland, Scotland, and the wider UK.
As part of our continued expansion, we are opening a NEW depot in Castle Douglas to strengthen service support and parts availability for customers across Scotland and the North of England.
JOB PURPOSE: A Dairy Service Technician is responsible for the installation, service and maintenance of dairy equipment. Installations can take place in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Scotland.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Installation and fitting of various configurations of milking parlours.
- Diagnose, service and/or repair of milking equipment effectively and efficiently maintain high level of customer satisfaction.
- Training will be provided to service ElectroMech Agri products and Boumatic dairy equipment. This knowledge will ensure customer satisfaction and ability to promote the sales of products and services.
- Drive a service vehicle, and maintain the vehicle and parts/tools to complete job
- Inventory management and preparation of documentation for services performed or products sold
- To provide 24hr break down support to customers on a rotation basis
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Agricultural Engineering
- Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical systems
- Proven ability in electrical testing, fault finding, and diagnostics
- Experience working with control panels, sensors, motors, and automated systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Previous experience in fitting mechanical equipment is required. I.e. Lining out, welding, and bolting equipment together.
- Previous experience Industrial equipment and a strong background in troubleshooting electrical circuits and controls would be advantageous.
- Previous service experience in dairy-related industry is preferable.
- Strong organisational skills, including good written and oral communication skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends on a rotation basis.
- Motivated, self-starter who can work independently, yet function and participate as part of a team
