Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our organisation’s financial planning, management, and reporting functions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and supporting sustainable growth. This senior leadership position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in financial management, organisational skills, and leadership within a complex corporate environment. The CFO will collaborate closely with the executive team to drive financial performance and uphold regulatory compliance.

Duties

Develop and oversee the organisation’s financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Manage all aspects of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Lead the preparation of financial statements in accordance with recognised accounting standards.
Monitor cash flow, optimise capital structure, and manage banking relationships to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
Implement robust internal controls to safeguard organisational assets and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide strategic advice to the CEO and Board of Directors on financial planning, risk management, and investment opportunities.
Lead the finance team, fostering professional development and ensuring high standards of organisational efficiency.
Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or revenue enhancement.
Oversee tax planning and compliance activities to optimise tax liabilities.
Represent the organisation at external meetings with investors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Skills

Proven management experience in senior financial roles within a complex organisation.
Extensive financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Strong background in financial accounting principles and practices.
Knowledge of financial services industry standards is advantageous.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills capable of translating data into actionable insights.
Exceptional communication skills to clearly convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess a proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrate integrity in all dealings, and have a passion for driving organisational success through sound financial stewardship.

Pay: £65,000.00-£180,000.00 per year
