Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling structural steel components with precision and attention to detail. Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding, ensuring strong and accurate welds.
- Fabricate components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Maintain precision throughout the fabrication process.
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated components into finished products or structures.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide fabrication and welding tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Experience
- Strong knowledge of structual welding standards and practices.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment.
- Experience performing assembly tasks.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with reading technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics is essential.
- Prior experience in a similar role involving welding, fabrication, or mechanical assembly is highly desirable. Pay: £15.00-£19.00 per hour
