We're looking for a creative, analytical and commercially minded Content Marketing Executive (SEO) to join our growing team.
Working alongside our Senior Client Manager and wider marketing team, you'll be responsible for planning, creating and optimising content that helps our clients increase their online visibility, generate enquiries and grow their businesses.
You'll take ownership of SEO strategy across a range of client accounts, using data, insight and commercial awareness to identify opportunities, shape recommendations and influence marketing decisions. You'll be confident presenting ideas, challenging thinking where appropriate and helping clients understand how search and content contribute to their wider business objectives.
As search continues to evolve, you'll also play a key role in developing our clients' visibility across AI-powered search experiences, Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO).
We're looking for someone who doesn't simply complete tasks, but who enjoys thinking strategically, identifying opportunities and becoming a trusted adviser to both our clients and our team.
Key Responsibilities
SEO & Search Optimisation
- Carry out keyword, competitor and search intent research.
- Develop SEO strategies across multiple client accounts.
- Take ownership of SEO roadmaps and prioritise recommendations based on commercial impact and client objectives.
- Identify growth opportunities through keyword research, competitor analysis and search trends.
- Optimise existing website content and identify opportunities to improve rankings, lead generation and conversions.
- Carry out on-page SEO including metadata, internal linking, structured content and schema recommendations.
- Work with developers to resolve technical SEO issues where required.
- Monitor search performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console and SEO platforms such as SE Ranking or SEMrush.
- Keep up to date with Google algorithm updates, AI search developments, GEO and AEO best practice, proactively implementing new ideas where appropriate.
Content Marketing
- Plan, write and optimise blogs, service pages, landing pages, case studies and guides.
- Produce engaging content that supports both search performance and commercial objectives.
- Repurpose content across multiple channels to maximise reach and engagement.
- Develop content calendars aligned with client objectives and wider marketing strategies.
- Ensure all content follows EEAT principles and current SEO best practice.
- Recommend new content ideas based on keyword research, customer behaviour, market trends and business priorities.
- Work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure content supports broader campaigns.
Website Content
- Update and maintain WordPress websites.
- Upload and optimise new content.
- Support website launches with SEO best practice built in from the outset.
- Recommend improvements to website structure, user journeys and on-page experience.
- Work alongside developers and designers to continually improve website performance.
Reporting & Analysis
- Produce monthly SEO reports for clients.
- Analyse website traffic, keyword rankings, engagement and conversions.
- Use data and commercial insight to evaluate performance and shape future SEO strategy.
- Confidently explain technical and analytical findings in a clear, commercially focused way to clients and colleagues.
- Present recommendations and opportunities to Senior Managers and clients.
Collaboration & Client Support
- Work closely with Senior Managers to support wider marketing strategies.
- Attend client meetings where appropriate, presenting recommendations and explaining SEO performance.
- Support PR, email marketing and wider digital campaigns with SEO insight.
- Build trusted relationships with clients through proactive communication and strategic thinking.
- Take ownership of your client workload, ensuring deadlines, priorities and expectations are consistently met.
- Contribute ideas during internal strategy sessions and client planning meetings.

Essential Experience
- Proven experience delivering SEO campaigns.
- Experience developing SEO strategies aligned with commercial objectives.
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills.
- Strong understanding of on-page SEO.
- Good understanding of technical SEO principles.
- Experience using WordPress CMS.
- Experience using Google Analytics 4.
- Experience using Google Search Console.
- Experience using SEO platforms such as SE Ranking, SEMrush or Ahrefs.
- Understanding of EEAT, GEO, AEO and the evolving AI search landscape.
- Ability to interpret analytics and translate findings into practical recommendations.
- Excellent organisation and project management skills.
