Job Overview
Glasgow Removals are recruiting for a 7.5t Driver based in the Glasgow area. This is not just a driving role, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service to our customers when they move home and for ensuring that packing and loading standards are delivered by the removals team. The role will suit an experienced 7.5t Driver that wants to do more than just drive. Drivers have to be great team players, physically able and want to interact with customers to provide a great service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7.5-tonne lorry for domestic and commercial removals
- Load and unload furniture and goods carefully to prevent damage during transit
- Physically fit in order to pack, lift and load/unload the vehicle, dismantle and reassemble household furniture.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding delivery times and any issues that arise during transit
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys to ensure roadworthiness
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during loading, transit, and unloading
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence suitable for a 7.5t vehicle
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within removals or similar sectors
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering high standards of service

Hours and rate of pay negotiable depending on experience.
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
