Lowmac Alloys Limited is an established and growing business with over 50 years' experience in delivering waste management solutions across Scotland, including skip hire, hazardous waste management, secure shredding, scrap metal recycling, and plant hire services.
Due to continued growth, we are excited to recruit a full-time permanent Finance Assistant / Credit Controller to join our small but busy Finance Team based at our Irvine site in North Ayrshire.

Key Responsibilities
· Correspond with customers by telephone and email to chase payment of outstanding invoices.
· Manage the timely collection of payments, ensuring customer accounts operate within agreed credit limits and payment terms.
· Identify customer invoice queries and escalate them for resolution to ensure prompt recovery of debts.
· Manage key customer accounts and maintain positive customer relationships.
· Process new account applications and credit limit revisions.
· Utilise third-party credit agency reports for risk assessment and debt management.
· Maintain accurate financial records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
· Provide excellent customer service and build strong external relationships.
· Support the wider finance team with administrative and ad hoc duties as required.
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
· Previous experience in a finance, accounts or credit control role.
· Working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts.
· Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, as well as Outlook and Word.
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
· High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
· The ability to work using your own initiative and manage your time effectively.
· A professional and confidential approach when handling financial information.
· A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to support the wider finance team.
