North Bay Services provides management and support services to a group of companies.
North Bay Group’s core business is managing 45+ care homes, with values surrounding the loving care of vulnerable and elderly people. The Group also provides domiciliary care, supplies for care homes and operates its own pharmacy, as well as designing and building new care homes.
The group has grown significantly over the past years, and has ambitious plans to continue that growth. The successful candidate for this role will support the next phase of growth in the business and to actively participate in realising its goals.
The Candidate
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Management Accountant with good communication skills to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be expected to take ownership of a portfolio of accounts, providing regular financial and operational reports to key stakeholders.
They will need to demonstrate initiative, strong attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines. The candidate should be confident in dealing with external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a busy finance team and will be IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel). Experience of Sage Intacct & Xero accounting software would be an advantage but not essential.
Job Role
Key responsibilities of the role include:
· Preparation of monthly management accounts for group companies in line with reporting requirements and deadlines
· Preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including but not limited to:
o prepayments and accruals
o fixed assets and depreciation
o payroll and related taxes
· Preparation of inter-company reconciliations and recharges
· Preparation of a suite of external reports including but not limited to occupancy, payroll, rent and agency information
· Liaising with third party stakeholders to build rapport, respond to and resolve queries in a timely manner
· Ad-hoc reporting and analysis
· Supporting non-financial staff with the interpretation of financial information
· Preparation of year end accounts
· Preparation of budgets
· Adherence to financial controls (including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements)
· Assisting with audit enquiries
· Assisting with the development, review and documentation of procedures and processes
· Supporting colleagues in the wider finance team as appropriate
· Any other duties as may reasonably be required
