Commis Chef

Location: The View Restaurant
Position: Full-Time Commis Chef

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Commis Chef to join our busy kitchen team at The View Restaurant, a well-established venue with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding fresh food and exceptional dining experiences.

Working under the guidance of our Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will play an important role in the preparation and service of high-quality dishes for both our restaurant guests and hotel residents.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the preparation and service of fresh, high-quality food.
Supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy kitchen environment.
Preparing and serving meals for restaurant customers and hotel coach parties.
Providing breakfast service cover when required, including holiday and sickness cover.
Maintaining the highest standards of food preparation, presentation, and service.
Ensuring the kitchen is kept clean, organised, and compliant with all food safety regulations.
Rotating and managing stock in accordance with Environmental Health Officer (EHO) guidelines.
Working effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating the ability to use your own initiative.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will:

Have proven training and experience working in a busy commercial kitchen.
Be confident preparing and cooking a wide variety of dishes.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to cope with the pressures of a busy service.
Possess excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Be committed to maintaining the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and cleanliness.
Have a valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
Be reliable, flexible, and willing to assist across all areas of the kitchen operation when required.
