[Jnr Product Engineer]

Exciting opportunity for a Junior Product Engineer to join a fast-paced high growth PE backed global software provider to deliver crucial support within the Engineer team.

The role of Jnr Product Engineer will be based at our Nottingham office and you will be working alongside the Senior Product Consultant. Whilst we operate a hybrid working policy, you will be expected to attend the office on a regular basis following completion of your induction and training.

For this reason, you must have been in UK residence for 3 continuous years prior to employment and provide proof of address for the previous 5 years. If you do not fit this criteria and also know that there may be anything hindering you from being vetted successfully, then you will not pass initial screening as security vetting is required by every Altia employee.
The Role
Support the development of Altia’s strategic product capabilities by configuring and extending the platform under guidance, contributing to sprint delivery and product quality
Key Responsibilities:
Product Build & Configuration
- Assist with configuration and development of platform features
- Support sprint planning, estimation, and delivery activities
- Maintain backlogs and delivery artefacts in Azure DevOps
Quality & Support
- Help investigate defects and recurring issues
- Support internal teams with product knowledge and fixes
Learning & Development
- Build knowledge of the Altia Platform architecture and patterns
- Develop skills in agile product development and low‑code tooling
Experience & Skills
- Technical mindset with interest in platform development
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Willingness to learn agile and product engineering practices
Quality, Testing & Support
- Conduct thorough testing of all configurations to ensure expected outcomes and system stability.
- Work closely with QA to define test scenarios and support UAT activities.
- Assist Customer Success and Support teams with investigating configuration-related issues.
- Contribute to internal documentation, configuration guidelines, and onboarding material.
Continuous Improvement & Ways of Working
- Champion agile delivery practices and iterative development.
- Identify opportunities to improve platform capabilities, automation, and configuration efficiency.
- Contribute to improving team processes, shared standards, and reusable artefacts.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to colleagues adopting no-code configuration practices.
What you can bring to the role:
- Hands-on experience configuring no-code or low-code platforms
- Strong understanding of business workflows, process optimisation, and digital transformation.
- Ability to translate business and operational requirements into clearly structured system configurations.
- Experience designing data models, workflow logic, and automation rules.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience working within Agile / Scrum teams.
- Confidence working directly with customers, users, and cross-functional technical teams.
