The part of the school day children remember most?
It’s often not a lesson.
It’s the laughter at a table.
The game on the playground.
The moment someone helps them feel like they belong.
At Bowhill Primary, we know lunchtime matters.
That’s why we’re looking for someone special - a warm, positive presence who can turn an ordinary lunchtime into something safe, joyful and full of connection.
About the role
- This isn’t just supervision.
- It’s noticing the child sitting quietly and bringing them into a game.
- It’s encouraging confidence, kindness and independence in small, everyday moments. It’s helping children feel seen.
- You’ll be part of the rhythm of the school day - supporting, guiding and creating space for children to grow socially as well as academically.
What your days might look like:
- Welcoming children into a calm, happy lunchtime
- Supporting them as they eat and chat
- Encouraging kindness, inclusion and good manners
- Leading or joining games that get everyone involved
- Helping children build friendships and confidence
- Supporting those who need a little extra care or guidance
- Keeping everyone safe, happy and included - whatever the weather
We think you’ll fit if you:
- Enjoy being around children and naturally build rapport
- Bring warmth, patience and a sense of fun
- Stay calm and positive in a busy environment
- Notice the small things that make a big difference
- Believe every child should feel included and valued
Why Bowhill?
Because people matter here. Our values - Kindness, Courage and Respect aren’t just words on a wall. They shape how we treat each other every day.
You’ll join a team that:
- Supports each other
- Values every role
- Sees lunchtime as part of the bigger picture
- And genuinely cares about helping children flourish
A small role that makes a big impact. You might only be with us for part of the day -but for the children, what you bring could stay with them for years.
