About The Exeter Clinic:
The Exeter Clinic is a professional, client-focused Podiatry clinic in Exeter. We are looking to welcome a Senior Clinical Receptionist to our friendly and committed team.
This is an important front-of-house role for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, maintaining high standards, and delivering an excellent client experience. The successful candidate will help ensure that every client interaction reflects the care, professionalism, and attention to detail expected at The Exeter Clinic.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong reception, customer service, private clinic, beauty, aesthetics, dental, healthcare, or hospitality experience who is ready to bring maturity, ownership, and reliability to a busy clinical environment.
About the role: As Senior Clinical Receptionist, you will be one of the first points of contact for new and existing clients. You will support the smooth and effective operation of the clinic on a daily basis, working closely with colleagues to ensure that clients receive an excellent experience from first enquiry through to ongoing care.
This is a busy, varied, and highly visible role. You will need to be confident communicating in person, over the telephone, and digitally. You will also need to be organised, calm under pressure, accurate with systems, and proactive in your approach to the working day.
The role requires someone who can take pride in the front-of-house environment rather than simply completing tasks. We are looking for a person who notices what needs to be done, follows processes carefully, communicates clearly, and helps maintain a professional, welcoming, and efficient clinic experience. You will work alongside our existing team, including our receptionist and Practice Manager, to support a consistent and high-quality client journey.
Key responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include welcoming clients, responding to enquiries, coordinating appointment-related communication, supporting bookings, using clinic systems accurately, and helping to maintain a calm, efficient, and professional reception environment.
You will use your client service skills and your knowledge of our services, products, and systems to guide clients and support the wider team. You will also help ensure that the front-of-house experience reflects the high standards of The Exeter Clinic. You will be expected to take ownership of daily front-of-house standards, including client communication, reception presentation, diary awareness, accurate administration, and smooth handover of relevant information to the clinical and operational team.
About you: The successful candidate will be professional, organised, reliable, and client-centred. You will have excellent spoken and written English, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and warmly with clients and colleagues. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to adapt to the needs of the day. You will be both self-motivated and a team player, with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in delivering excellent service. We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong judgement, good organisation, digital confidence, and the ability to follow processes carefully. You should be someone who takes pride in high standards, communicates professionally, and enjoys being trusted with responsibility.
