About us

We are recruiting for a casual Funeral Operative to join our close-knit team to support our funeral and carriage master operations.

Full training will be given but you must hold a full driving licence.

Your responsibilities will primarily involve:

Collection of the deceased from private homes, nursing homes and hospitals with another team member, most often in evening and weekends on a casual basis.

There will also be opportunity to be engaged in:

Being one of four Pall Bearers lifting and carrying coffins between the hearse and crematoria, churches and burial sites
Forging strong links with the community and actively engaging with local groups to build the reputation of the business locally

Aptitude and a professional attitude are a must, but the following will support your application:

Experience of Funerals, emergency services or the military is preferred
Immaculate presentation, with good communication and organisational skills
Ability to conduct yourself in a dignified and professional manner
Flexibility to work weekends and unsociable hours when the need arises
Drive and ambition to contribute meaningfully to our growth and be rewarded for it
A full driving licence

The right candidate will be comfortable working as part of a team and in conjunction with our Consultant Funeral Director.
