Full job description

Mere Green Education is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable A-Level Physics & Chemistry Teacher to work across schools and sixth form settings in Stockport.

We are looking for a passionate educator who can inspire students, deliver engaging lessons, and support learners in achieving outstanding academic results at A-Level.

Requirements

PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Science, or a closely related subject
Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience within UK schools or colleges
Experience teaching Physics and Chemistry at A-Level
Excellent subject knowledge across both disciplines
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver high-quality A-Level Physics and Chemistry lessons
Prepare students for examinations and coursework requirements
Monitor, assess and track student progress
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students
Create a positive and engaging learning environment
Work collaboratively with teaching staff and leadership teams
Promote high standards of achievement and attainment
