Michaels Workwear is looking for an experienced Embroiderer and/or Garment Printing Press Operator to join our busy garment decoration team in Swindon.
This is an experienced role. We are looking for someone who can already operate within a garment decoration environment and contribute quickly. This is not a trainee position, so previous hands-on experience in embroidery, garment printing, heat press, DTF, vinyl, transfers or similar is essential.
We produce branded workwear, uniforms, promotional clothing and personalised garments for a wide range of customers. The right person will take pride in accurate, high-quality work and understand the importance of detail, consistency and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Operating embroidery machines and/or garment printing equipment
- Preparing garments, logos, designs, threads, transfers and print layouts for production
- Setting up jobs accurately and checking artwork, placement, colours and garment details
- Producing decorated garments to a high standard
- Quality checking finished items before dispatch
- Helping maintain production flow and meet customer deadlines
- Keeping the production area organised, tidy and efficient
- Working as part of a small team in a busy production environment
Essential experience
Applicants must have previous practical experience in one or more of the following:
- Commercial embroidery
- Garment printing
- Heat press operation
- DTF transfer production/application
- Vinyl cutting/application
- Transfer printing
- Branded workwear or personalised clothing production
