FOOD & BEVERAGE ASSISTANT @ Lugh & Paddy’s

Location: Lugh & Paddy’s, Whittington Lichfield. (Wedding and Events Venue)
Summary of Overall Role Purpose
Coton House Farm is a luxury wedding venue dedicated to delivering high-quality events and experiences. The Food & Beverage Assistant is responsible for supporting the delivery of food and beverage services across weddings, events and venue operations
The role provides practical support to the Venue Manager and wider team, assisting with food preparation, bar service, event setup and guest service. The postholder will play an important role in ensuring that every event is delivered to a high standard, creating a positive and memorable experience for guests.
Work Schedule
- This role will be offered on a full-time basis. Hours of work will be agreed based on business requirements and may vary according to the event schedule. Typical working pattern is set in advance to suit the events. We use an app and set our duties generally well in advance. Flexibility is required, including regular evening and weekend working to support weddings and events. Additional hours will be available during peak periods.
Primary Elements of the Role
As the Food & Beverage Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Food Preparation & Service: Assisting with the preparation, cooking with fire, (BBQ/Smoker style) presentation and service of food, ensuring high standards of quality, cleanliness and food hygiene are always maintained. Bar Service: Supporting the operation of the venue bar, preparing and serving drinks in a professional, responsible and customer-focused manner. Event Support: Assisting with the setup, delivery and clear-down of weddings and events, ensuring venues and service areas are presented to a high standard. Guest Experience: Providing a warm, welcoming and professional service to guests, responding positively to requests and helping to ensure an exceptional customer experience. Venue Presentation: Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness, presentation and overall appearance of guest-facing areas, ensuring the venue is always presented to a high standard. Venue Operations: Supporting the Venue Manager with the day-to-day running of food and beverage operations, including cooking with fire, maintaining cleanliness, stock organisation and service standards. Stock Control: Assisting with stock checks, monitoring stock levels and notifying the. Venue Manager of any shortages or replenishment requirements. Supplier Deliveries: Assisting with the receipt, checking and storage of deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated and stored safely in accordance with food safety requirements. Health & Safety Compliance: Following all food safety, health and safety, licensing and Company procedures, ensuring a safe environment for guests, colleagues and suppliers. Team Support: Working collaboratively with colleagues across all areas of the venue to ensure events run smoothly and efficiently. Flexibility & General Duties: Providing support across all areas of the venue as required, undertaking reasonable duties to contribute to the successful delivery of weddings and events.

Qualifications
- Food Hygiene qualification desirable, although training can be provided. Previous experience within hospitality, catering, bar work or events would be advantageous but is not essential.
Other Requirements
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required. Ability to stand for extended periods and undertake the physical demands associated with hospitality and event work. Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the UK.

Pay: £24,420.00-£29,120.00 per year
