We’re looking for an Endoscopy Lead to join our Nursing Team at The Harborne Hospital. Opened in January 2024, The Harborne Hospital is a purpose‑built, fifty‑bed, multi‑speciality private hospital located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus.

Working in close partnership with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust, the hospital combines the scale and stability of a leading healthcare group with the feel of a close‑knit clinical community where professional respect, collaboration and patient‑centred care come first.
As an Endoscopy Lead, you’ll be a senior clinical presence within the service, shaping how endoscopy care is delivered day to day. You’ll work closely with operational and clinical colleagues to provide clear leadership across governance, quality and clinical effectiveness, while keeping patient safety and experience at the heart of everything you do. Your role will balance hands‑on clinical credibility with strategic oversight, supporting service development, leading audit and quality improvement activity, and acting as the subject matter expert for endoscopy practice. What you’ll do:

Provide clinical leadership for the endoscopy service, ensuring high standards of care, governance and clinical effectiveness

Act as the endoscopy subject matter expert, offering guidance and support to operational and clinical teams

Oversee quality assurance activity, including audits and service improvement initiatives

Support compliance with regulatory and professional standards, including CQC and JAG requirements

Promote a positive, collaborative culture that supports learning, safety and continuous improvement
What you’ll bring:

Extensive endoscopy experience within a private or NHS hospital setting

Proven experience working in a senior or lead endoscopy role

Strong knowledge of JAG accreditation, the Global Rating Scale and audit processes

Experience and understanding of endoscopy decontamination standards

Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and analytical approach to problem solving
