At Martin Tolhurst Solicitors, we're looking for a proactive and client-focused Conveyancer to join our busy Residential Property team in Sittingbourne.

You'll play a key role in guiding clients through one of the most important transactions of their lives, managing a varied caseload while delivering exceptional service from instruction through to completion.

What You'll Be Doing

As a valued member of our Residential Property team, you'll manage your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters while ensuring clients receive a professional, efficient and positive experience throughout the transaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a varied caseload of residential property matters including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages and transfers of equity
Providing clear, practical legal advice and maintaining regular communication with clients, agents, lenders and third parties
Progressing matters efficiently from instruction through to completion
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, firm procedures and risk management policies
Supporting and mentoring junior team members and support staff where appropriate
Assisting with business development, networking and marketing activities to strengthen the firm's profile and client relationships
Maintaining accurate records and updating the firm's case management system
Providing support to colleagues and assisting with departmental requirements as needed

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

Previous experience managing a residential conveyancing caseload
A Law Degree, LPC, CLC qualification or equivalent technical qualification
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A proactive and client-focused approach
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and case management systems
A professional, dependable and flexible approach to work
