Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and attentive Dog Handler to join our security team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of premises through effective canine patrols and surveillance. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas using trained security dogs to deter unauthorised access or activity.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by recognising and responding to theft or vandalism risks.
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, providing support through K9 detection and intervention.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary, following established protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of patrols, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
- Ensure the wellbeing and proper handling of security dogs, including feeding, grooming, and health monitoring.
- Collaborate with security personnel and management to develop effective surveillance strategies.
Skills
- Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
- Ability to handle and work effectively with trained security dogs in various environments.
- Basic first aid skills are highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with an eye for detail to identify potential threats or irregularities.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately.
- Organised, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically fit with the ability to undertake patrols over extended periods and handle the physical demands of the role.

Pay: £12.71-£16.00 per hour
