Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Academy Coach for our U14-U18 age groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing young athletes’ skills, fostering a positive team environment. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain coaching experience within a supportive organisation dedicated to youth development and sporting excellence.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging training sessions tailored to the developmental needs of U14-U18 athletes
Provide individualised coaching to improve technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness
Support team organisation, including match preparation and participation in competitions and additional fixtures
Monitor athlete progress and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement through Junior Academy ILP processes and player tracking methods
Attend and contribute to all CPD events
Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards and organisational policies

Requirements

Previously expereince in academy environment and coaching the 11v11 game is desirable
Strong understanding of the specific sport’s techniques, rules, and strategies as well as player development
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate young athletes
Organised with the ability to plan effective training sessions and manage multiple responsibilities
Passionate about youth development and fostering a positive sporting experience for young people
Relevant coaching qualifications or willingness to obtain necessary certifications prior to commencement is preferred

Pay: £13.00-£20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
