Overview

Duties

Conduct thorough risk assessments related to financial planning and investment strategies, identifying potential vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement
Analyze data from financial services operations to detect patterns, trends, and emerging risks that could impact the organization’s stability or compliance
Develop and implement risk mitigation frameworks, policies, and procedures to minimize exposure and enhance operational resilience
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management practices into daily financial activities and strategic planning processes
Monitor regulatory changes and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance and adapt risk strategies accordingly
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key risks, recommended actions, and progress on mitigation efforts
Support internal audits by providing insights into risk factors affecting financial services activities

Qualifications

Proven experience in financial planning or risk analysis within the financial services sector
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify key risk indicators
Excellent communication skills for articulating risk findings clearly to diverse audiences
Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in risk management
Proficiency with data analysis tools, spreadsheets, and risk management software
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related field; advanced certifications such as FRM (Financial Risk Manager) are a plus
Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively
