We have an exciting new vacancy for a Housekeeping Team Leader to join our team at The Palace Hotel in Buxton. This 186-bedroom hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Buxton town centre, directly opposite Buxton train station. Your duties will include:

Supporting the Housekeeping Manager with the daily running of the department
Checking bedrooms, public areas and function rooms to ensure standards are maintained
Assisting with training and developing the housekeeping team
Completing staff sheets and allocating rooms for cleaning
Carrying out linen counts and supporting with stock control
Assisting with payroll administration in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager
Helping with cleaning duties when required
Reporting any maintenance issues or damages promptly
Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous housekeeping experience within a hotel environment
Experience in a supervisory or team leader role is desirable
Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high standard
Good communication skills
A positive attitude and strong work ethic
The ability to work well independently and as part of a team
