Chef / Kitchen Manager

Location: ART CAFE, Cheltenham Town Centre
Salary: Up to £15 per hour

This is more than a kitchen role — it’s an opportunity to grow with an independent business from day one.

We’ve recently taken over Art Café in Cheltenham and are planning to rebrand the cafe and update the food menu ahead of relaunching under a new name at the end of June. We are looking for the right chef to come on this exciting journey with us: someone positive, ambitious, and passionate about food, people, and building something special.

You will work closely alongside the owner-operator to oversea all aspects of the kitchen operation, the ideal candidate will thrive working indepently and run this kitchen as if it were their own business! We are a small and tight-knit team, everyone mucks in to help out as needed during our shifts. Personality is key. We’re looking for someone who brings great energy, communicates well, and takes pride in doing things properly — even when working alone.

The Role

Deliver consistently high-quality food in a café setting
Take ownership of the kitchen day-to-day operation, including managing orders and controlling stock levels and wastage
Work independently during quieter periods and lead during busy services
Contribute ideas to menu development and evolution
Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organisation
