Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the construction industry while contributing to high-quality building projects.

Responsibilities

Install new roofing systems on various types of buildings, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
Repair and replace damaged or worn roofing materials, including shingles, tiles, or metal sheets.
Inspect roofs for damage or potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools and power tools.
Prepare work sites by setting up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers.
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, plumbers, or electricians when necessary.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency on site.
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently during all phases of work.

Skills

Proven experience in roofing installation and repair is essential.
Knowledge of carpentry, masonry, or construction painting is advantageous.
Familiarity with plumbing, welding, electrical systems, or fabrication can be beneficial for complex projects.
Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and screwdrivers.
Skilled in operating power tools including nail guns, drills, saws, and scaffolding equipment.
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to working at heights and around construction sites.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
