Full job description

The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Pallet Network Depot Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our busy pallet network depot. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, service excellence, fleet coordination, and full compliance across the depot.The successful candidate will play a key role in managing transport operations, warehouse activity, driver performance, and customer service while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and profitability.Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily operation of the pallet network depot
Oversee inbound and outbound pallet distribution activities
Ensure all deliveries and collections meet service level agreements
Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse and transport teams
Monitor fleet utilisation, routing, and driver performance
Maintain compliance with transport legislation, health & safety, and company procedures
Manage staffing levels, agency requirements, and shift planning
Work closely with pallet network partners to ensure smooth operations
Handle operational issues and customer escalations professionally
Monitor KPIs, depot performance, and operational costs
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the depot

Requirements

Previous experience within pallet network, logistics, or transport operations
Proven experience managing a busy depot or transport operation
Strong leadership and people management skills
Good knowledge of pallet network systems and procedures
CPC qualification preferred but not essential
Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Good IT and reporting skills

Pay: £38,000.00-£46,000.00 per year
