We are seeking a skilled and versatile professional to join our team as a carpenter/general builder.
Must have full driving license and own tools and transport
This role involves a variety of construction tasks on extensions, loft conversions and renovation projects across the Cheltenham and Gloucestershire area..
The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of carpentry , roofing and general building knowledge. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing team on a CIS basis, (payed weekly)
Duties
- Perform carpentry and joinery work, to include 1st & 2nd fix carpentry , kitchen and bedroom fitting, flooring etc…
- Conduct roofing tasks, including installation and repairs
- Engage in heavy lifting to move materials and equipment safely
- Using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure working environment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
Skills
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, roofing
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools relevant to construction activities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations within the construction industry
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications is desirable
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and project requirements
