Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bathroom Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining bathroom fixtures and fittings in residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, basic carpentry, and various domestic plumbing systems, along with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, physical stamina for heavy lifting, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Install new bathroom fixtures including sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, and cabinets in accordance with specifications and safety standards.
- Repair or replace existing bathroom fittings and fixtures as required.
- Use hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and specialised plumbing tools to complete installations efficiently.
- Measure spaces accurately using basic maths skills to ensure proper fitting of components.
- Perform basic carpentry tasks such as cutting and fitting panels or cabinetry to specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems and address any issues promptly.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
- Assist with heavy lifting of materials and fixtures safely throughout the project site.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace during and after each job.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bathroom installation or related trades such as plumbing, carpentry, or mechanical work.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and mechanical principles.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
- Experience with commercial driving is advantageous but not essential.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow technical drawings and instructions.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting materials between sites. Candidates should be organised, detail-oriented, physically fit, and committed to delivering high standards of workmanship in every project undertaken.
Pay: £30,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
