Overview
We are seeking a reliable and diligent Dishwasher/Kitchen Hand to join our busy hospitality team. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment, supporting the culinary team to deliver exceptional service. The position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience within a vibrant restaurant or hotel setting, ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and food service.

Responsibilities

Efficiently wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff.
Support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout shifts.
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
Restock supplies such as cutlery, crockery, and cleaning materials as needed.
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold hygiene standards within the kitchen.
Support serving staff during busy periods by clearing tables and assisting with general duties when required.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking processes is desirable.
Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills within a fast-paced setting.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required.
