Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, developing insightful visualisations, and supporting business decision-making processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise advanced analytical tools and techniques to drive strategic initiatives. The ideal applicant will possess strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate findings effectively across various departments.

Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and interpret large datasets using SQL, R, Python, and other relevant tools.
Develop interactive dashboards and visualisations using Tableau and Power BI to present key insights clearly.
Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and translate requirements into technical solutions.
Design and optimise database schemas within Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and other database systems.
Conduct business analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvements.
Manage projects through the entire SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), ensuring timely delivery of analytics solutions.
Utilise VBA and Bash (Unix shell) scripting for automation and data processing tasks.
Create detailed documentation using Visio for process flows and system architecture diagrams.
Support project management activities by coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI, and VBA.
Solid understanding of database design principles and experience working with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server.
Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and project management practices.
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets into actionable insights.
Knowledge of Business Analysis techniques and experience in creating detailed documentation using Visio.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Effective communication skills to present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
