Shop Supervisor

3 days a week (24 hours). This role involves weekend working on a rota basis.

You can make a real difference to people in your local community by joining the Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity Retail Team.

Our shops are the face of the charity, seeing supporters and raising vital funds to support local patients and their families, every single day – and you can be part of it.

Join our busy and friendly retail team as a Shop Supervisor and play your part in growing our retail income so we can continue to support patients across Buckinghamshire with life-limiting illnesses.

What would you be doing?

To support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager to deliver an excellent retail offer for the local community.
Assist in achieving agreed income targets – sales, Gift Aid and Hospice Lottery
Ensure that a standard of excellence is maintained at all times with regard to customer service.
Support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in the recruitment and retention of shop volunteers, helping to promote a happy and productive working environment for the volunteers.
At all times, safeguard the Charity’s reputation by working in a professional manner and personifying FNHC values.

About you

You have got experience of and enthusiasm for working as part of a team in charity or fashion retail.
You have got experience of working to achieve sales targets in a customer facing environment.
You are physically fit and able to lift and carry large quantities of donations of stock, waste and recycling on a daily basis. Please note, this shop is over two floors, so there is a requirement to carry stock up and down stairs on a regular basis.
You have demonstrable positive, solution-focused, ‘can-do’ attitude.

Applicants for this role need to be aged 18 or over. This role involves the supervision of volunteers, and in order to adhere to our safeguarding policies, all staff employed by FNHC Shops need to be over 18.
