Generations Church is seeking a passionate and gifted Operations Co-ordinator to be responsible for the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the operational and administrative functions of Generations Church MK
This role supports the vision and mission of the church by co-ordinating schedules, liaising with the team and church leaders, managing administrative systems, and ensuring consistent communication across teams. The Operations Co-ordinator is also responsible for compiling reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and preparing essential information for leadership and trustee meetings.
The post holder will report directly to the Lead Pastors of the church.
Benefits: The post holder is also entitled to annual leave of 20 days(pro-rota) plus bank holidays.
Working hours: 21 hours per week, some evenings and Saturdays may be required for this role, with time off in lieu. This role is office-based in Milton Keynes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the master calendar for the church, scheduling all services, events, meetings, and key activities.
- Oversee the readiness for services and events, youth sessions, outreach, and other community programmes.
- Ensure smooth Sunday service operations through coordination with relevant teams (tech, hospitality etc.).
- Opening and shutting the premises and securing the storage spaces.
Team Liaison
- Liaise with team leaders and volunteers to align plans and priorities.
- Support team leaders and project leads with logistics, communications, and resource planning.
- Follow up on action points from leaders’ meetings
- Track project and activities deadlines.
Communication & Administration
- Maintain clear and organised systems for internal communication and documentation.
- Co-ordinate the preparation and distribution of schedules, meeting notes, weekly notices, and team updates.
- Ensure consistent and professional internal and external communication.
KPI Monitoring & Strategic Reporting
- Track and analyse key metrics including service attendance, youth engagement, volunteer involvement, and programme outcomes.
- Produce regular dashboards and strategic impact reports.
- Prepare detailed information packs, agendas, and reports for the pastors, and trustees.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure safeguarding, data protection (GDPR), and health and safety policies are up to date and followed.
- Maintain accurate and compliant records.
- Support the oversight of DBS checks, safeguarding training, and risk assessments.
- Event & Project Support
- Manage logistics and timelines for events such as conferences, community outreaches, training days, and baptisms.
- Act as the point of contact for external vendors and venue partners.
- Support implementation of new projects, pilot initiatives, and organisational development plans.

- Flexible and Calm Under Pressure: Adapts well to changing demands and high-pressure environments.
Qualifications and Experience:
It is a genuine occupational requirement of this post to have a personal faith in Jesus as this is a faith-based organisation and the post holder will essentially serve as a minister.
Essential
- Proven experience in operations, project management, or administration (preferably in a church, youth work, or non-profit setting).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate across departments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and data protection.
- Understanding of church culture is an advantage.
- Basic financial or bookkeeping experience.
Desirable:
- Experience with church or charity management systems (e.g., ChurchSuite).
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
Training will be provided on ChurchSuite and other systems, along with opportunities for professional development and leadership training.
This role is based at Generations Church Milton Keynes.
Pay: Up to £15,000.00 per year
