Full job description

The Jolly Gardeners is seeking a Chef de Partie to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious CDP to join a team that aims to create one of the best pubs in the country. The successful candidate will be friendly, personable and passionate about all things food and drink.

THE POSITION

You will be cooking with some of the best produce in the country in our brand new hi-spec kitchen, with a focus on whole fish and animal butchery, cooked over open fire on our custom built grill.

You will have experience working in a similar quality kitchen. We are looking for people who are as passionate about food and hospitality as we are! You will be joining a fantastic small team of chefs led by head chef George Prole.

If you have the following, then we want to hear from you:

Prior experience within a fast-paced quality, kitchen;
Running a busy section, whilst maintaining high standards;
Ability to follow instruction and guidance from senior team;
Eagerness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in;
A creative approach with impeccable attention to detail;
Passion for about food and hospitality, along with the eagerness to continually learn;
The desire to develop your career.

THE PUB

The pub opened almost a year ago and our aim is to cement the Jolly Gardeners' reputation as a true local pub, with quality beer, food from local suppliers, and a superb wine list. A space where you can pop in for a quiet pint or bring family for a meal. The Jolly Gardeners is listed in the Michelin guide and the good food guide.
