Service Desk Assistant – Mobile Devices & User Support

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Service Desk Assistant to join our support team in Liverpool England. The successful candidate will provide first-line support for mobile devices and assist users both over the phone and in person.
As a service desk employee, you will be in daily contact with our customers and their end users, assisting them with various support queries in telecom and telematics. You will collaborate with our team in the Netherlands and your tasks will involve a lot of phone and digital communication, such as emails, teams, ticketing system and other channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for company-issued mobile phones and tablets
- Reset, configure, and securely wipe mobile devices when required
- Troubleshoot and respond to hardware and device-related queries over the phone
- Prepare and deliver clear presentations or demonstrations to staff where needed
- Maintain accurate records of device issues and resolutions
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff when appropriate
Skills & Experience Required
- Good working knowledge of mobile phones and tablets
- Experience resetting, restoring, and wiping mobile devices
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications
- Strong communication and telephone support skills including a comprehensible command of spoken English
- Confident presenting information to individuals or groups
- Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Friendly, professional, and patient approach to customer service
Desirable
- Previous experience in a service desk or IT support environment
- Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) systems
- Basic understanding of IT hardware and troubleshooting
