Safeguard Security (NE) Ltd is an established business providing security solutions to clients throughout the North East.

We are seeking a full time Night shift Security Control Room Operator to assist us with the needs of the business. This role is permanent 12hr Night shifts including Bank holidays/weekends as a 4 on 4 off rota.

We are currently seeking a vigilant, proactive, and responsible Security Control Room Operator to join our team in providing essential 24/7 support.

Job Description:
As a Security Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing security systems, responding to incidents, liaising with clients, and coordinating with security personnel. You will also be involved with our Call Handling company and work closely with your colleagues in the provision of services to our clients. You will also assist in the updating of Assignment Instructions to ensure site-specific protocols are current/ clearly outlined and followed. The ideal candidate will have strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor CCTV and alarm systems to identify potential security threats.
Respond to security incidents in real time and coordinate with on-site personnel.
Liaise with clients to address specific security needs and update Assignment Instructions as required.
Record and report incidents accurately in line with company policies.
Maintain open and clear communication with security staff and emergency services.
Perform regular checks on control room equipment to ensure functionality.

Requirements:

Must hold a valid SIA license.
Previous experience in a security control room or a related field is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to stay alert during long shifts.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to liaise professionally with clients and compile accurate Assignment Instructions.
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with monitoring software.
