As a growing business, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, technical expertise and high-quality renewable energy systems. We are now seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant to support our finance and administration functions.
About the Role
This part-time position is ideal for an organised and motivated individual who enjoys working in a varied role combining bookkeeping, financial administration and general office support.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day business operations and helping ensure the smooth running of our growing organisation.
Experience using Xero essential, if you have experience of using Unleashed this would also be useful.
Key ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Finance
- Maintain accurate financial records using Xero.
- Process supplier invoices, purchase orders and customer invoices.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards and supplier statements.
- Assist with monthly management reporting and financial record preparation.
- Support the preparation of VAT returns and year-end accounting information.
- Monitor outstanding customer balances and assist with credit control.
- Ensure all financial records are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
Inventory & Operations Administration
- Manage stock and purchasing records using Unleashed.
- Process supplier purchase orders and goods received records.
- Maintain accurate inventory data and support stock reconciliation activities.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries and account queries.
- Assist with procurement and stock control processes.
General Administration
- Provide administrative support to the management team.
- Manage correspondence, filing and document control.
- Maintain customer and supplier records.
- Assist with scheduling, data entry and general office administration.
- Support the preparation of reports, spreadsheets and business documentation.
- Handle confidential financial and business information with discretion.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a bookkeeping or finance administration role.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero.
- Excellent understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of accuracy and professionalism.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience within the renewable energy, construction or electrical industries.
- Knowledge of VAT procedures and financial reporting.
- Experience supporting stock control and procurement processes.
- Previous experience in a small or growing business environment.
- Experience using Unleashed inventory management software.

Pay: From £25,000.00 per year
