Mobile Engineer (van mobile)
Mobile Electrical Engineer or Mobile Mechanical Engineer.
A solid and expanding Platinum Facilities contract is growing in the West Sussex district.
We are looking for experienced Mobile Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to come on board and play a crucial role in keeping our clients’ operations running smoothly.

Typical daily tasks will include completing the day to day set PPMs and re-actives across a portfolio of sites around West Sussex.
Work schedule:
- Monday – Friday.
- 07:00AM to 16:00PM or 08:00AM to 17:00PM
- 1 in 4 Call out
General Duties:
- Carry out weekly and monthly water hygiene tasks, including flushing of little-used outlets in accordance with L8 requirements.
- Undertake sprinkler system inspections and routine testing in line with site procedures.
- Perform general fabric maintenance, including minor repairs to doors, ceilings, flooring, fixtures, fittings, and building fabric.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities on electrical systems and associated equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of plant rooms and building services, reporting any defects or concerns.
- Replace lamps, lighting components, switches, sockets, and other electrical accessories as required.
- Assist with fault finding and basic repairs on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Monitor and record utility meter readings where required.
- Ensure statutory compliance checks are completed and accurately documented.
- Carry out minor plumbing tasks, including tap repairs, leak investigations, and fixture replacements.
- Support subcontractors on site and oversee works to ensure compliance with site requirements.
- Maintain plant and equipment in a safe, clean, and operational condition.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and building-related issues raised by the client.
- Undertake routine health and safety inspections and report hazards or near misses.
- Ensure all work areas are kept tidy and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Participate in call-out and out-of-hours support arrangements where required.
- Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and other facilities-related tasks.
- Manage and maintain maintenance records through CAFM systems or site logbooks.
- Escort contractors and visitors when required and ensure permit-to-work procedures are followed.
- Carry out emergency lighting inspections and testing.
- Assist with fire alarm testing and other planned statutory compliance activities.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
- Level 3/2 Electrical/Mechanical C&G/NVQ or equivalent – Essential.
- Experience of maintenance, testing, fault finding and rectification on a variety of electrical equipment Including (not exhaustive): generators, switchgear, cables, Batteries, small power, and lighting/emergency lighting etc.
