Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mac Operator to join the pre-press team within our advanced commercial print company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for checking and producing high-quality print content. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about graphic design, print and relevant workflows.
Responsibilities
- Checking spec, preflighting and proofing.
- Prepare print‑ready files for litho, digital and large format presses.
- Develop and refine graphic content using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Data merge and spreadsheets skills an advantage.
- Creative graphic design experience an advantage.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Experience of editing PDF's with PitStop.
- Knowledge of prepress imposition systems such as Apogee.
- Technical understanding of colour.
- Knowledge of workflow systems such as Switch.
- Strong organisational skills and able to manage priorities independently.
- Good communication skills either with other team members or customers.
Attention to detail in this role is essential. Using your technical skills and knowledge of the pre-press process, including file setup, checking, and output.
Ideally a part-time role to start with, joining an existing team and then progressing to full-time - but open to discussion.
