Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Bricklayers Labourer to support our masonry team on various construction projects. The successful candidate will assist with preparing sites, handling materials, and supporting skilled tradespeople to ensure smooth project progress. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the construction industry and develop a broad skill set related to masonry and building works.
Responsibilities
- Assist bricklayers and masons with carrying bricks, blocks, and other materials to the work area
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organising tools and materials
- Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and levels to support bricklaying activities
- Support the installation of masonry elements including bricks, blocks, and stonework
- Operate power tools safely for cutting and shaping materials as required
- Assist with carpentry tasks related to site setup or formwork when needed
- Support roofing or welding tasks if required by project specifications
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to uphold safety standards
Requirements
- Previous experience with hand tools, power tools, or masonry work is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Basic knowledge of bricklaying, masonry, carpentry, roofing, or welding is advantageous
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods
- Good organisational skills and attention to safety procedures on site
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different construction tasks
- Must be able to pass relevant health and safety assessments and adhere to site regulations
Pay: £13.00-£17.00 per hour
