Due to anticipated changes in our business and for our planned growth, we believe this is right time to hire an experienced and career driven Pharmacy Dispenser or Dispensing Technician to join our team.
As a Pharmacy Dispenser/Technician, you will play a crucial role in our growth plan by assisting the pharmacists (and business as a whole) in not just dispensing medications but actively contributing to the provision of excellent patient care.
This position not for a new hand but requires an excellent understanding of the framework that governs the NHS Pharmacy contract, a strong background in medication administration and the provision of new patient services. You will be at the centre of our dispensing activities.
Duties:
- Support the Pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional customer service, patient care and pharmacy services.
- Maintain inventory control and ensure proper storage of medications
- Process prescriptions and handle customer queries, ensuring that they have excellent care.
- Support the training and development of the team and colleagues in training.
- Support the provision and growth of Pharmacy services in the business.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients on medication usage and potential side effects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser, Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Community Pharmacy practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organised with pin-point attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
