Full job description

Overview
We are seeking motivated, dependable and hardworking drivers to join our team. This is an active role involving the safe loading, delivery, set-up, collection and unloading of china, glassware, furniture and kitchen equipment across a variety of hospitality and event venues.

This role requires physical stamina, excellent time-management and the ability to communicate professionally with clients and colleagues.

We operate in a wide range of venues including prestigious event spaces, offices, private residences, sporting venues, temporary marquees and more. As specialists in the events industry, we pride ourselves on reliable, punctual and customer-focused delivery and collection services.

Duties

Safely operate a 3.5t van to deliver and collect event equipment.
Transport china, glassware, furniture, kitchen and catering equipment between warehouses and event locations.
Load and unload goods with care, using a sack truck or carrying and securing methods.
Deliver equipment to a range of environments: event spaces, offices, private homes, sporting venues, marquees, etc.
Communicate professionally with customers, event staff and internal team members.
Complete delivery paperwork, checklists and any documentation accurately.
Maintain the vehicle in a clean and roadworthy condition, reporting any defects promptly.
Support end-of-day clearing, returns and stock organisation as required.

Skills

Valid full UK driving licence.
Driving licence with no more than 6 points.
Good understanding of local and surrounding areas is highly desirable.
Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written).
Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting tasks throughout the day.
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Professional and courteous customer service approach at all times.
Flexibility with working hours (early starts, late finishes and occasional weekends).
Ability to reliably commute to Weston on the Green for daily starts.
