About Us

The Carpenters Arms is a busy village pub serving quality food, premium drinks and a warm, professional customer experience. We are looking for an experienced Pub Supervisor to join our management team and help lead our front-of-house operation.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys hospitality, takes pride in excellent service and can confidently manage a shift while supporting and motivating the team.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

Opening and closing the pub
Supervising front-of-house staff during service
Delivering exceptional customer service
Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally
Supporting stock control and cellar management
Ensuring compliance with licensing, food safety and health & safety requirements
Training and mentoring team members
Working closely with management to maintain high standards across the business

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

Previous experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Manager within a pub, bar or restaurant
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Excellent customer service skills
Flexible approach to evenings, weekends and busy periods

Desirable:

Cellar management experience
Food service experience
Knowledge of EPOS systems
First Aid qualification
